OpenLimit Reader
Download the OpenLimit Reader free of charge and verify the validity of signatures by means of certificate revocation lists or OCSP requests. With the OpenLimit Reader you can easily verify, if an electronically signed document does actually originate from the specified sender and if it has been modified. Store your verification results in revision-safe PDF/A protocols that are suitable for long-term archiving. You can even sign forms that have been appropriately activated for further processing with our Reader.
Verify signatures and certificates via OCSP requests and certificate revocation lists
Trust centers provide so-called certificate revocation lists with information about revoked and expired certificates. The OpenLimit Reader downloads these lists and compares the certificates to be verified with the certificate revocation lists. That way, you can unambiguously verify if the signature to be verified is valid and originates from the specified sender. The online verification of signature certificates is even more efficient. Here you can use the Reader as well.
Create legally compliant PDF/A verification protocols
After signature verification, the OpenLimit Reader can optionally generate a legally binding signature verification protocol. This verification protocol certified by PriceWaterhouseCoopers can be useful, for instance, for companies that receive electronic invoices. According to German Sales Tax Law companies are obliged to verify each signature on an electronic invoice and to document the result. The correct verification entitles to input tax reduction.
Sign activated forms free of charge
Certain forms, generated in conjunction with the OpenLimit signature applications, can be signed with the OpenLimit Reader. Therefore these forms have to be provided with special rights. Users of the free of charge OpenLimit Reader can electronically sign directly in the Adobe Reader by means of a signature card and a card reader.
