OpenLimit at the trade fair „Moderner Staat“
Long-term data storage and archiving dominate this year’s trade fair presence
At the 13th trade fair „Moderner Staat“ (Modern State), being held from November 24th to 25th, 2009 in Berlin, the strategic course for reforms in public sector in the next years will be set. In collaboration with Fujitsu Technology Solutions and the NetApp GmbH OpenLimit demonstrates how public authorities can store files electronically and in an evidently secure manner - stand 2/540. This joint solution ensures the inventory, the authenticity and the integrity of archived data for a hundred years and even longer. The presentation features both OpenLimit products MigSafe and OverSign.
OpenLimit sets the trends
With the ArchiSafe- and ArchiSig-compliant applications MigSafe and Oversign OpenLimit will cover the subject of long-term archiving. Thanks to these innovative software solutions electronically stored documents will be protected against unintended manipulation and accordingly edited so that they can be read with help of the then current application over the decades. The automated renewal signature ensures the legal probative force of documents over the entire storage period.
Identity management and e-Government
In view of the introduction of the new electronic identity card, electronic identities will be the mainstay of e-Government processes in the future. On 25th November between 2:45 p.m. and 3:35 p.m. Dirk Arendt, Director Business Development at OpenLimit, gives a lecture on this subject at the BITKOM Forum. The “Buerger-Client”, as application on citizen´s computers, contributes to more convenience for administrative procedures, higher data security and more data protection.
Visit us at the trade fair
On the trade fair premises in Berlin over 200 contributors give lectures on subjects such as e-Government, human resources, finances and IT security. Best Practice forums introduce specific projects which are to contribute to an efficiency increase of public sector. Moreover, trade fair visitors can take part in free of charge guided tours dealing with selected topics.
